CWRU Los Angeles 26th Annual Hollywood Bowl

Join the Case Western Reserve University Los Angeles alumni chapter as we mark our 26th annual event at the Hollywood Bowl!

This year’s opening night concert features Steely Dan. Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, the Grammy®-winning Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famers, will be accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. The band’s four-decade catalog filled with trend-setting jazz and rock blends is sure to provide a treat for our alumni and guests.

Since 1990, area alumni have gathered to experience a concert at this renowned venue. Pack dinner and wine to enjoy the company of fellow alumni at our pre-show picnic. Also, plan to stay after for the Hollywood Bowl’s infamous fireworks display.

Reserve your ticket today. Seats are limited and sell quickly. The registration period has been extended until Sunday, May 1.

FAQs
What should I wear?
The weather is often questionable, so it’s a good idea to pack a sweater or blanket along with your comfortable walking shoes.

Concert seat cushions are available for a $1 rental fee at the venue, or you’re welcome to bring your own.

What occurs at the pre-concert picnic?
The pre-concert picnic begins at 5 p.m. at the Camrose Highland Picnic Area, but you’re welcome to stop by any time before the concert, which begins at 8 p.m. The Camrose Picnic Area is directly South of the Odin Parking Lot. Please look for a CWRU flag, which will indicate our reserved area.

Guests are responsible for bringing their own food and beverages to the picnic. We also suggest bringing a small potluck dessert (e.g. cookies) to share with fellow guests. All alumni and friends are welcome, even if they are not attending the concert or have not registered in advance. Arriving early for the picnic is a great way to beat the rush for parking and make new friends.

University representatives and chapter volunteers will provide updates on the latest news at CWRU and with the local alumni chapter. A raffle will also be held for various CWRU merchandise.

How do I obtain my concert tickets?
In late May, we will mail concert tickets to the shipping address provided during the registration process, along with other pertinent information for June 18. Please ensure you bring your tickets to the concert for entry.
Update 5/23/16: Concert tickets were put in the mail today. If you have not received by Friday, June 3, please contact The Alumni Association at 800.866.6280 or alumnirelations@case.edu.

There are multiple options for arriving at the Hollywood Bowl. You can choose to use your personal vehicle, a “park and ride” bus, a group of designated Metro Buses, or the Bowl Shuttle service (wheelchair accessible).
